Detoxicating Aloe Compound Developed in Yunnan

En¡¯erle Biological Products Co., Ltd. in Kunming City of Yunnan Province has developed an aloe compound that can detoxicate harmful substances such as nicotine and tar. The new product marks a breakthrough in developing biological resources in Yunnan.
Aloe contains various chemical substances with pharmaceutical and biological activity functions, and it is widely used in medicine, health care and beauty culture. With its favorable climate and land and water resources, Yunnan is the major aloe growing province in China, accounting for 50% of the national total area under aloe plants. Fine aloe strains cultivated in Yunnan include Yuanjiang, Zhonghua, Muli and Kulasuo.
To turn the rich aloe resources into economic returns, En¡¯erle company made great efforts to bring about a breakthrough in research, and developed the compound that are good for smokers and victims of air pollution to use. The province has listed the development of the compound as a major project of biological resources development and a key high-tech undertaking.
At present, the compound has been put into mass production. The company now uses more than 100 tons of aloe leaves a year, and scores 2.3 million yuan in sales revenue. It plans to use 250 tons of aloe leaves next year and boost its sales revenue to 7.4 million yuan.
