Maurier Cigarettes

Du Maurier is a brand of cigarette, produced by Imperial Tobacco Canada. The brand received its name after Sir Gerald du Maurier, a British actor.
The cigarettes are available at Regular, Light, Extra Light, Ultra Light and "Edition" (even lighter) nicotine/tar dosages. The packaging is red with the brand name and logo on the front and back of the package. Light du Maurier versions were a little bit changed in October, 2006. A new cigarette which utilizes an "AC", or Advanced Charcoal filter, was released in a limited distribution for only the Greater Toronto Area. The product is the first of any du Maurier cigarette to make use of charcoal filter-tip technology. It may also be worth mentioning that the filter is not the traditional orange-"cork"-color, but instead is white. They are also available in regular (70 mm) and king size (84 mm); a 100 mm du Maurier has also been released. All styles of cigarette contain an equal quantity of tobacco, regular size have 3-4 millimeters smaller filter to compensate for the short size. King size and 100s make use of tobacco expanded using dry ice.
