FIFA declares war on tobacco

Zurich (Sports Network) - FIFA director of communications Keith Cooper has declared a war against smoking as well as any other means of tobacco.
Anti-smoking moves will take a start in the upcoming Mundial in Japan and South Korea. Cooper stated FIFA will prohibit fans to take any cigarettes or other tobacco means into the stadiums at World Cup.
"We think it is the right time to hold a real fight against smoking and those advertising tobacco day by day. And soccer is an excellent mean to initiate the action," Cooper said.
The head of the press-service confirmed the fact that smoking causes death of 4.2 million people per year. Marco Polo Pena, an epidemiologist stated that smoking causes lung cancer in 9 cases out of 10.
According to FIFA's initiation, the players will appear on television and call out to fans, promoting the anti-smoking campaign.
