Students Attend Anti-Smoking Rally

Three thousand Milwaukee middle school students Wednesday morning attended an anti-tobacco rally at the Milwaukee auditorium.
Students at 18 MPS schools have been taking part in a new anti-smoking program.
Organizers want to convince them that smoking is not cool.
"(Smoking will) Give you bad breath, make your clothes smell bad, it will cause your mouth to be yucky and it will turn off your potential girlfriend/boyfriend," Darryl Pendleton of the Area Health Education Center said. "So we want messages that will impact them today in their life."
"I learned that tobacco is bad for your lungs, and it'll kill you," MPS student Reymundo Coronado said.
Four million American teenagers smoke and more are taking it up every day.
