The monies derived from the tax will now continue to flow to the state and county commissions which have the sole authority to determine the most appropriate use of these funds in furthering the goals approved by passage of Proposition 10 in 1998.
With this big win against big tobacco, we prevented a roll-back in California's tobacco tax and preserved the voters right to pass future initiatives raising tobacco taxes.
